Many people believe real estate negotiations are only about details in the contract.

I’m going to blow your mind right now and tell you that negotiations start from the very first interaction we have with a fellow agent.


And while I could go on for hours about this topic and how I feel so many agents have lots of room to grow in this department, I will keep this short and sweet and talk about 3 tactics many real estate agents are using that are absolutely BLOWING their chance of successfully completing a deal. Especially, if you are not wise to these, can see them for what they are and be able to work around them.


Here they are:

  1. Talking over someone

  2. Using “years in business”

  3. Throwing down the ‘common phrases’
